Hospital II place: all kinds of operating room, wake room, intensive care unit, cardiac care unit are all part of Division 2. In such case the medical device interrupts power supply can cause life-threatening patient; weak leakage current will have a "micro-shock." Medical electrical equipment used in such situations include: patient body surface or real-time monitoring and control instruments used in vivo; for surgical instruments and equipment; sustain the patient's life and physical function; means for opening the heart, brain devices.
The following equipment shall be isolated power system operation:
High-frequency surgical equipment, infusion pumps, anesthesia equipment, patient monitoring equipment, dialysis equipment, pulse machine, effort recorder, injection pumps, heart-lung machine, ventilator, incubator, heart rate and other electronic pulse modulator.
